Account Manager - Jan 2024

We are seeking a creative and ambitious Account Manager to become an integral and valued part of our team. The role will primarily focus on growing & delivering work within our Women’s Sport portfolio, but will also involve working closely with the wider team on key projects. Account Manager – The Role

The focus of this role will be to develop and implement creative communications strategies, primarily within Run’s Women’s Sport portfolio, heading up campaigns which drive action and deliver measurable results.

Campaigns will be consumer focused, aiming to continue the momentum in women’s sport and particularly within football following the Lionesses success at the home 2022 Euros and 2023 FIFA Word Cup. Key strategies will be to harness this growth at grassroots and community level, promoting the wider social and positive impact that sport can offer.

The Account Manager will also work closely with Run’s Senior Leadership Team to identify and secure new business opportunities.

Day to day will include:

  • Planning and delivery across some of our most prestigious client accounts, working closely with the wider account team
  • Building, driving and developing our Women’s Sport portfolio
  • Working with key clients to plan measurable campaigns which exceed client KPIs and result in action
  • Working with major media brands to deliver high-quality and creative PR activity for our clients
  • Creation and delivery of ‘media events’ to generate positive client profile for broadcast, online and print media
  • Athlete & ambassador media activity
  • Working with our digital team to produce and distribute creative and original content for our client digital and social channels
  • Producing high quality written content for multiple platforms
  • Working with Run’s Senior Leadership Team to proactively identify and approach potential clients, and developing and presenting new business pitches
  • Supporting clients’ in-house marketing teams
  • Management of 3rd party design, film and photography agencies

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years Consumer PR / Communications / Sports Industry experience
  • Experience delivering high impact campaigns which have resulted in a measurable outcome (e.g. driven event ticket sales / fan engagement / increased participation)
  • A growing network of media contacts across broadcast, print and digital platforms
  • Experience managing clients or multiple accounts
  • Digital communications experience, including a strong knowledge of a range of social and digital channels
  • Project and budget management skills
  • Account leadership
  • Understanding of strategic communications planning, measurement and evaluation
  • Understanding of the role of sponsorship within the integrated marketing planning process

  • Salary: £28,500 – £35,000 depending on experience
