British Gymnastics appoint Run

01 Nov 2017

British Gymnastics has appointed Run Communications to help drive ticket sales to its premier World Cup event at The Arena, Birmingham in March 2018.

Run was instrumental in driving sold out sessions at the London 2017 World Athletics Championships this summer, plus a range of other major events for British Athletics across the UK including the Müller Indoor Grand Prix at the Birmingham indoor venue.

The leading sports MarComms company will provide additional national media coverage, regional creative PR and social strategy to British Gymnastics as the sport works to stage an outstanding, world-class event in 2018.

Claire Jackson, Head of Marketing & Communications, British Gymnastics said:

“Run know how to drive audiences to major sports events and have a proven track record in Birmingham. Their ability to work with sports to engage audiences and inspire sales is impressive and we are excited to be working together. The 2018 Gymnastics World Cup will be an outstanding event for our sport and will showcase some of the world’s best gymnasts in action.”

Steve Chisholm, Managing Director, Run Communications said:

“British Gymnastics is a fantastic new account for Run. We know their market and we are confident that we have the ideas and expertise to create demand within the Midlands for one of the key sports events in the region next year. Birmingham is currently at the heart of British sport and the 2018 Gymnastics World Cup in March will be a key event for the city.”
