We are delighted to have launched a new engagement and content creation service aimed at helping sports organisations gain better insight and connect more closely with a broader range of communities across the UK.
Run Represented, will offer our clients access to and insight from a diverse network of UK Community Activators to help inform and improve communication and engagement strategies and campaigns.
It will also provide a new content creation service working with a team of young content creators to produce content that is relevant and drives better engagement across key communities and audiences.
Run are currently working with one of the leading Olympic and Paralympic sports to deliver a Run Represented pilot project, with a series of short films produced by young content creators showcasing the sport in diverse communities.
The move follows the recent launch of the government’s new sports strategy. ‘Get Active: A Strategy for the future of sport and physical activity’, published in August, aims to ‘make sport and physical activity more inclusive and welcoming for all so that everyone can have confidence that there is a place for them in sport’. It also highlights the need to address lower activity levels amongst key groups including women, disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, and some ethnic groups.
Ben Moore, Run Communications’ Head of Digital Content, commented:
“It’s vital that the sector engages better with a whole range of communities and part of that is creating the right content for the right people, using the right insight. As an agency we have been lucky to work with many fantastic creators over the years, many of whom now make up our Run Represented network.
Everyone in our network is an outstanding creative in their field. Whether it’s videography, photography, graphic design, animation or illustration, we have a group of people who create brilliant, engaging content. They also come from a range of different backgrounds and lived experiences, which will also be crucial in helping our clients answer some of their most pressing questions.”
Leading physical activity and lifestyle expert, educator and TV doctor, Dr Hussain Al- Zubaidi, who is part of the Run Represented Community Activator network, added:
“Run Communications want to get more people active. They have an amazing group of inspirational people – community leaders and content creators – who can connect with a vast array of people across the country and inspire them to get active. We all need to do more to get Britain moving and this is a great step forward for the sector”
